Hello!
I grew up with an artistic family. My father went to school for fine arts, my grandmother is a painter, and my aunt is a metal craftsman. Although I was never pressured to do art like a lot of my family members, I enjoyed art very much but only viewed it as a hobby. I always liked to draw and make my own funny cartoons. My favorite toy to play with was Legos because I got to create the crazy things that I could imagine in my head. I never thought of using my natural creativity as a profession because it was too fun and lighthearted. It wasn’t until my high school years, I realized the meaning of ‘design’. I figured out that design isn’t just something to make the world look nice with cool typography and colors but making purposeful decisions through the process that elevates a deeper meaning to design. From this pivoting moment in my life, I wanted to become a designer that can work with multiple disciplines to express a visual message to the world through process and storytelling.
